HUGHES, Ruth Summers - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Ruth Lucille Hughes of RR 4, Danville, Illinois, age 71, died Friday evening, March 25, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville. She was born in Cates, July 19, 1911, the daughter of Walter G. and Eva McIntosh Summers. November 27, 1929, she married Samuel Allen Hughes, who survives. Mrs. Hughes attended Bowman Avenue Church of God in Danville and was formerly employed at Ed Fonner’s cleaners and the Glo Motel.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Naomi Vargo of Tilton, Illinois, and Leona Cheesman of Danville; a sister, Pauline Seeley of Terre Haute; a brother, Gilbert U. Summers of Macy; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Pape Memorial Home in Danville with Rev. Edward L. Cloninger and Rev. Ray Ogle officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. – thanks to S
